The Professional Learning (PL) application serves as a versatile tool, establishing a standardized system for all faculty and staff within a school. The setup process includes creating a set of questions for professional learning requests (a standard set is provided), onboarding all employees, and defining employee types/groups. Additionally, administrators can seamlessly add new events while submitting a request, configure reflection fields, and make other necessary adjustments.
The system caters to two primary user roles:
Users submit a Professional Learning (PL) request by completing the form, providing event details, costs, and other necessary information. An email notification is automatically sent to the administrator, with the requester included for transparency.
The administrator reviews the request on a dedicated dashboard. Admins have the option to approve or reject the request, providing reasons for the decision. An email notification is promptly sent to the requester, with the admin included in the communication loop.
Admins can proactively create pre-approved requests for individuals or groups, streamlining the process.
Upon approval, the requester can participate in the specified event.
Following the event's conclusion, the requester completes a reflection form to capture key learnings. The requester may also rate the event, contributing to the calculation of credited seat hours. The system generates a Professional Learning certificate based on the completed activities.
The system meticulously captures all request and approval details, allowing for in-depth analysis based on various parameters such as individuals, events, and employee groups. Custom reports can be effortlessly generated, providing valuable insights for the academic year or any specified date range.
A real-time monitoring system is in place to track the utilization of the predefined Professional Learning (PL) budget, offering administrators insights at both individual school division and overall school levels.
The system facilitates the identification of historical trends and patterns, enabling administrators to pinpoint areas of improvement and refine professional learning strategies over time.
Faculty's professional learning activities are seamlessly linked to the academic performance of their assigned students. This linkage highlights the impact by showcasing the difference between the pre-event and post-event time periods, providing a holistic view of the learning outcomes.
